CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

IFP into

Intro to IFP

An introduction to Island Fit Pilates studio and all of the equipment used in classes.  

You will be introduced to the equipment, Pilates principles including neutral pelvis and breathing technique will be described and briefly practiced. You will also learn a few movements to get familiarized and started on your Pilates journey.

ReaDy

Learn and practice Pilates Reformer basic movements at a slower pace.  Great for Beginners.  The principles of Pilates will be taught and reinforced. Learn how to modify every movement for your body, injuries and/or limitations. Strengthen your body foundationally, become confident with the equipment, terminology and Pilates fundamentals. 

ReForm

A Reformer class for everyone!

Achieve overall strength, postural alignment, lengthening of the whole body, balance, awareness of the breath and total body wellness.

ReformFit*

Our Signature Pilates Reformer Class!

This accelerated pace Pilates Reformer class will challenge your whole body!  Prepare to sweat, fatigue your muscles and keep your body moving to achieve your pilates body.

 

ReMixed*

Move between the Reformer & Springboard while incorporating fundamental Pilates Principles.

Challenge your body in different but complementary ways. While the Reformer asks you to find stabilization in all planes on a moving surface, the Springboard challenges your stabilization against independent springs on a stable surface for a fun change of pace.  We’ll bring together movements from the Reformer, Tower and Cadillac for a full body strength workout. Stretching on the Reformer will round out the class leaving you centered and strong.

 

ReBound*

Total body cardio workout on the Reformer.

In this low impact cardio class you will utilize the jumpboard accessory on the reformer to “JUMP” your way to increased endurance, strength and stamina.  Utilize Pilates principles while burning calories and having fun.​

ReLease

Release and relieve yourself and body from the woes & stressors of your week. In this class, you will use the ALLEGRO 2 Reformer to assist you in opening up your entire body. Elongate your muscles, tendons and ligaments.   Release, flex, lengthen, extend and breathe!
