CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Intro to IFP
An introduction to Island Fit Pilates studio and all of the equipment used in classes.
You will be introduced to the equipment, Pilates principles including neutral pelvis and breathing technique will be described and briefly practiced. You will also learn a few movements to get familiarized and started on your Pilates journey.
ReaDy I
Learn and practice Pilates Reformer basic movements at a slower pace. Great for Beginners. The principles of Pilates will be taught and reinforced. Learn how to modify every movement for your body, injuries and/or limitations. Strengthen your body foundationally, become confident with the equipment, terminology and Pilates fundamentals.
ReaDy II
Practice Pilates Reformer basics at a more advanced pace. Great for Beginners that have mastered the basic movements. The principles of Pilates will be reinforced. Learn more advanced movements while building on Pilates Fundamentals.

A Reformer class for everyone!
Achieve overall strength, postural alignment, lengthening of the whole body, balance, awareness of the breath and total body wellness.

This accelerated pace Pilates Reformer class will challenge your whole body! Prepare to sweat, fatigue your muscles and keep your body moving to achieve your pilates body.
Strength Training
Learn the basics of strength training in a fun, supportive small group setting. This beginner-friendly class focuses on proper form, safe techniques, and building a strong foundation using bodyweight, dumbbells, and resistance bands. Perfect for those new to lifting or returning after a break.
